ABOUT PS 32‎ > ‎

Principal Statement

I am elated to welcome you to The Belmont School‘s web-site. It all begins with our well deserved reputation that all adults in the building are committed to serving all of our children in improving student achievement.

We are dedicated to the vision that all students are entitled to the highest quality education. Each child is perceived as student with a different style of learning. It is our job to create goals and standards to meet the needs of our students and support   the different approaches of teaching and learning to strive in achieving success. This ensures that all sub-groups are identified and taught through a motivating, nurturing and challenging integrated curriculums.

Our enrichment model is a highly motivational program that teaches students to become independent learners while making choices to meet their interest of learning. Students are able to select from a wide variety of venues such as; performing/visual arts, technology science social studies and problem solving to challenge everyday thinking.

Our professional development is based off findings of formal/informal observations, data from various forms of student assessments. Tracking student’s work after each unit of study with teachers to assess their learning and achievement helps to foster their instructional planning. This also allows for further lab-sites and peer evaluations to occur and be invited at a risk free environment.

Teachers, staff and parents are all part of what makes The Belmont School a successful learning community. We all feel proud when entering ours schools doors each day.

I am excited to be part of such a dedicated learning community. I hope you will use this web-site to learn more about our wonderful school.

Have a wonderful teaching/learning day!

Esther Schwartz, Principal
